Vernon Kinard

The Rev. Vern Kinard has served as interim university pastor at 91ÁÔÆæ since July 2026. Kinard provides spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the university community while supporting campus ministry initiatives.
Ordained in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) in June 2018, he has served congregations throughout the North Carolina Synod of the ELCA since the beginning of his ministry.
In addition to his ministry at Lenoir-Rhyne, Vern serves as pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hickory, North Carolina.
